From the top of the Marquise chairlift, before descending the Camp Filleul slope, take a moment to gaze upon the vast expanse of the Alps stretching endlessly before your eyes. Foremost, a bird’s-eye view of the Tarentaise Valley, flanked by the steep slopes surrounding it, immediately captivates skiers. Further to the right stands the imposing Mont Blanc, the highest peak of the Alps at 4,809m, proudly towering under awe-struck glances.

Upon reaching the Col de l’Aiguille, several unmissable panoramas greet lovers of vast landscapes. To the southwest, one can spot the summits of Mont Pourri and Dôme de la Sache. On the southeast side of Col de l’Aiguille, a sensational panorama unfolds for skiers. Before them lies the Vallon du Clou, its namesake hamlet, and most notably, the Balmes glacier, overshadowed by the four major peaks lining this valley on the Franco-Italian border.
